Volunteers provide much-needed support services to our clients, and programs. Our success rests with your support; our clients as well as funders require volunteer involvement of this level from people like you.

Our volunteer program offers many opportunities, including direct service, administrative, community outreach and prevention work. We also offer short- and long-term commitments to match your interests, schedule and skills.

AGENCY EXPECTATIONS & VOLUNTEER QUALIFICATIONS

* Maintain agency confidentiality
* Understand and abide by our mission of empowerment and advocacy and agency policies
* Knowledge of services
* Work respectfully with all staff, volunteers, and victims/survivors, regardless of age, ethnic/racial, class/economic, sexual orientation, immigration status, religious and other identities
* Relate to others in a non-judgmental manner
* Set and maintain appropriate personal boundaries and limits
* Record and report volunteer hours to Volunteer Coordinator

COMMUNITY EDUCATION Educate the public/raise awareness about the dynamics of Child Sexual Abuse, Agency resources, etc.

ADMINISTRATION Many opportunities including: typing, filing, organizing, data entry, stuffing envelopes, etc.

ANNUAL & SPECIAL EVENTS Help us prepare for and facilitate annual events with planning, decorating, organizing, cleaning, and your creativity. We need special help during our annual walk, and other fun events.

TABLING Help raise awareness about our services by attending events such as health, job, faith-based, or community fairs.

MEDIA Strengthen our community outreach by working with the press, writing press releases and monitoring coverage.

VOLUNTEER RECRUITER Identify opportunities for outreach to and recruitment of potential volunteers, to help increase our ability to serve.

TRANSLATORS Become an integral part of our agency by translating communications and documents for clients. Spanish especially needed!
